The world’s smallest cat and other cat records

The smallest cat in the world Guinness record

Tinker Toy was a world famous cat because of his small size, so much so that he is the smallest cat in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records! He was a blue point Himalayan-Persian, just 7 cm tall and 19 cm long. He was born the smallest of a litter of six cats and his slight growth made him stand out among the others, despite his small size.

Other Guinness cat records

There are other records related to domestic cats included in the Guinness Book of Records, for different characteristics. Don’t miss them! We list some of them:

  • Mymains Stewart Gillligan
    This maine coon cat holds two titles, that of the longest cat in the world (123 cm) and also that of the longest tail (41.5 cm).
  • Smokey holds the title of the cat with the loudest purr. Between 80 and 90 decibels, when the normal for a cat is 25.
  • Jake
    He is the cat with the most toes: 7 on each paw, for a total of 28.
  • Pinky
    Holds the record for being the world’s longest-lived cat: he died in 2015 at the age of 27.
  • Dusty
    is the cat with the most descendants! with a total of 420 offspring.
